{"body":{"en":"<p>The absence of standardized methodologies and tools for documenting and disseminating archaeological experiments and analytical procedures constitutes a significant impediment to comparative research, scientific knowledge transfer, and data quality assessment. The TRAIL addresses this critical gap through the development of a flexible visual workflow tool designed to facilitate the comprehensive documentation of archaeological experiments, including their methodological frameworks and empirical outcomes. While the necessity for such a tool has been acknowledged within the discipline for some time, adequate resources for its realization have remained elusive. The project's objective is to establish a sustainable tool capable of continuous refinement in accordance with evolving community requirements.</p><p>The TRAIL is structured into two phases. Phase I was conducted from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024. Following the presentation of the prototypes in 2023 and 2024, systematic evaluation of feedback necessitated a fundamental technological reorientation from a Flutter-based application architecture to a JavaScript-based web application framework. This transition is being executed in Phase II, spanning January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, under new project personnel. Phase II prioritizes the implementation of functionality essential to the tool's operational viability, encompassing user authentication systems, version control mechanisms, and data export capabilities.</p>"},"title":{"en":"Workflow tool for archaeological experiments and analytics"}}
